We’ve renovated over 800 hotels throughout the United States with our fast-track construction process. Following is a sampling of some of our projects that are sure to excite you.
The Thompson Central Park New York
In 2022, we transformed the iconic Parker Hotel in New York into Hyatt’s luxurious Thompson brand, “a combination of innovative design and crafted luxury, set apart by an unprecedented level of personalized hospitality, private spaces, and bespoke journeys.” The hotel’s new design was replete with intuitive touches reflecting local culture. The Thompson’s 587 guest rooms now boast handsome earth tones, dark wood touches, and gold details, in addition to the following features:
- – A 4-pipe HVAC system with all-new fan coil units.
- – Updated furniture, fixtures, and equipment.
- – Bathrooms with new tile, fixtures, vanities, and backlit mirrors.
- – Overhauled vinyl wallpaper, paint, and laminate flooring.
- – A new fire alarm system, including a new auxiliary radio communication system and sprinkler system.
After completing the hotel renovation from floors 1 through 33, we transformed the remaining nine floors into 99 luxurious condominiums and two penthouse residences overlooking New York’s Central Park. Now called the One11 Residences, our work included the following features:
- – Total demolition down to the concrete slab columns and decks from floors 34 to 42.
- – Constructed and installed a new steel roof level with stairs and all-new roofing.
- – Installed custom interiors designed by Thomas Juul-Hansen, including complex installation of floor-to-ceiling windows and entry doors up to 13’6” high.
- – Installed a new HVAC system with zoned climate control for each condo.
The Boca Raton, South Florida
In one of our most expansive projects yet, we renovated 224 guest rooms and suites at South Florida’s luxury hotel, the Boca Raton. We completed the owner’s vision to transform the property’s iconic Tower hotel from a large, nondescript convention center into an iconic resort with a hip, modern feel.
The iconic Tower opened its doors in 1969 and is the tallest building on the property. It was the primary focus of a significant $200m renovation at the Boca Raton Resort from 2021 to 2022. The Tower was refurbished entirely by HR Construction Group and boasted a 360-degree view of the Atlantic Ocean with a fresh and elegant new look.
The 224 rooms offer breathtaking views of the Atlantic Ocean and come with complimentary minibars, premium bath amenities, and full access to the resort’s facilities. The new suite configurations also allow guests to book entire floors for their exclusive use.

Overall, our completed work at the Tower aimed to provide guests with a refreshed and elegant experience, combining modern amenities with a nod to the resort’s rich history.
The Carlyle New York City
We renovated over 100 guest rooms in New York City’s legendary hotel, The Carlyle. The hotel now features a modern aesthetic that still preserves the historical elements of the building.
Inspired by the city’s captivating pre-war period, the guest rooms boast rich colors, bold geometry, and decadent detail work. The Art Deco style pays homage to the hotel’s original designer, Dorothy Draper. Other details include modern appointments and light fixtures, glazed black paneling, and wallpaper featuring intricate depictions of Central Park.
The Palihotel San Diego
Converting the historic St. James Hotel into the Palihotel is one of our most treasured projects. The Palihotel continues the building’s charm with its design-centric landscapes. Initially built in 1912, our work transformed 122 guestrooms and adjacent corridors into coastal-inspired designs with a preppy feel. The full scope of our renovation included:
- – New lobby and meeting space
- – The new Saint James French Diner restaurant and bar
- – Guest-exclusive rooftop with spectacular views of the city
- – Replacement of all the original waste/vent piping stacks
- – New fire alarm system upgrade
- – Historic window replacements
- – All guest rooms received new AC units, millwork, paint, flooring, plumbing, lighting, and tile finishes throughout
It was truly a transformation of one of the most iconic buildings in San Diego.
The Graduate East Lansing, Michigan
We partnered with the owners and another general contractor to complete the interior fit-out of the Graduate East Lansing hotel construction in Michigan. We contributed the following:
- – The interior fit-out of a new construction hotel
- – 196 guest rooms and corridors, including 15 king suites and two presidential suites
- – Two levels of public space with ballrooms, meeting rooms, restrooms, a bar area, and a roof lounge
- – Terrazzo flooring in the lobby
The Mandarin Oriental New York
We renovated 39 suites in this iconic five-star hotel in the Time Warner Center in New York City. During this renovation, we:
- – Installed new finishes in the living rooms, bedroom, and bathrooms
- – Added fresh paint, wall coverings, specialty wall finishes, wood flooring, and carpet
- – Completed a millwork package that included crown molding, bathroom vanities, and pocket doors
- – Conducted plumbing and electrical work, including moving existing components into a new design layout
Loews Ventana Canyon Resort, Arizona
We remodeled 396 guest rooms and associated corridors in Tucson, Arizona’s unique, alluring, and environmentally friendly resort. Our renovations included:
- – The remodeling of 396 guest rooms of varying types and associated corridors
- – Adding finishes such as paint, vinyl wall covering, carpeting, and stone
- – Establishing electrical upgrades, including power, cable television, and lighting
- – Modifying and refinishing existing case goods
- – Liquidation, warehousing, and the installation of furniture, fixtures, and equipment
The Ballantyne Charlotte, North Carolina
This elite, luxurious hotel in the affluent Ballantyne neighborhood was our first project in Charlotte, North Carolina. Our renovations involved the following:
- – New carpet, paint, and wall coverings in the corridors and guest rooms
- – Upgrading nine guest rooms to comply with ADA standards
- – New furniture packages in the 208 guest rooms, seven suites, and two presidential suites within the main building, along with the 38 guest rooms in the Lodge
- – New shower doors and paint in the bathrooms
- – Refinished marble surfaces in the bathrooms
The Dupont Circle, Washington DC
We performed renovations in Washington, D.C.’s Dupont Circle Hotel. We worked to outfit the guest rooms with luxurious and sleek accommodations, including the following:
- – Remodeling 264 guest rooms and their corridors
- – Renovating twelve suites to create an all-new layout, which included new headboard walls, wood floors, millwork, and upgraded mirrors
- – Renovating the presidential suite to add new wood floors, custom-built shower doors, and upgrades to millwork and lighting
- – Upgrading the showers with newly constructed curbs and walls
- – Updating the carpet, paint, and wall covering finishes
- – Installing glass shower enclosures with deflector panels
- – Installing automatic blackout curtains operated with a wireless controller
- – Revitalizing bathroom floors with polishing and dye
- – Installing new nightstands and bed sets
- – Converting 45 double-double rooms to king rooms
- – Reconfiguring existing closets and upgrading the shelving and hanging rods
- – Installing a mirrored back wall and glass shelving in the amenity alcove
- – Upgrading the voltage for new televisions
