Suites at the Park Hyatt Washington

Later this year HRCG will undertake the final piece of the Park Hyatt Washington makeover with the renovation of the final 6 suites, including the lone Presidential Suite and 3 Ambassador Suites on the top floor.  Many of the design elements from the original renovation, completed in 2006, will be reincorporated such as the Biarritz blue limestone from Portugal in the bathrooms.  However, the project designer, Tonychi & Associates, isn’t satisfied with recycling the original design theme (featured in Architectural Digest’s article, “Twist on Tradition”) and plans on introducing many new high-end finishes included freestanding custom-carved stone tubs, teak wood bath and shower surrounds, fabric covered ceiling panels, and numerous walnut millwork items.

Construction is slated to begin in mid-September, 2008 and complete by year’s end.  Photos from guestrooms completed in the 2006 renovation are at right.
